A Lagos High Court has granted ace comedian Babatunde Omidina aka Baba Suwe 25 million Naira damages for being unjustly detained by National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over allegation that he possessed cocaine. Baba Suwe had filled a 100 million Naira suit against the anti-narcotics agency over his arrest and detention by the agency. Delivering the judgment in the suit, the court , presided over by Justice Yetunde Idowu, awarded the 25 million Naira damages and ordered NDLEA to cough out the money to Baba Suwe as damages for the gross violation and abuse of his fundamental human rights guaranteed by the constitution.
