8 YEARS OLD AMARACHI WINS NIGERIA GOT TALENT SHOW 2012



The 2012 edition of  Nigeria’s Got Talent has come and gone but it didn't just end without it's usual suspence, fun and excitment filled package. The winner of the edition is Amarachi Uyanne and she’s just eight years old!!
By winning 10 million naira at this weekend’s finals of Nigeria’s Got Talent, Amarachi Uyanne has set a record, at just 8 years old she is the youngest  non-inheritor millionaire in Nigeria having broken the previous record set by Solomon Ebuka Nwanke Ubani who became a millionaire at age 20.

Amarachi, a  Primary 5 student and dancer from Benin City, Edo State, dusted off competition from nine other contestants and was crowned winner in front of a studio audience today, Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the grand finale held at Bamako Studios, Ikeja, Lagos.
Amarachi who turned eight in July is the youngest contestant on the competition.
After being screened from 10 to six, to four and then a final three, Amarachi was tonight announced winner by the show’s host Andre Blaze.
Judges Kate Henshaw, Dan Foster, Yibo Koko all seemed pleased with the result.
She walks away with a cash prize of N10m, amongst other prizes.


A mild fire which broke out behind the studio while Amarachi was delivering her final performance caused a chaos and caused her to run off stage. But emergency workers quickly put out the fire.
There were musical performances from EME’s Skales and Niyola as well as and upcoming crowd pleaser Dammy Krane.
 Speaking on her prize money, Amarachi said she would use part of the money to support orphans and to pursue her ambition of becoming a medical doctor. “I am happy that I won. At first I was afraid and thought I would lose, but thank God I won in the end. I want to help orphans with the money and also for the education of my two siblings as well as mine.”
I am happy what happened has happened. Every parent should allow their kids do whatever they can do to display their talents‘, Emike Uyanne, Amarachi’s mother told NET, a few minutes after her daughter was announced winner.
She deserved to win because she’s good‘, Nathaniel a member of the finalist’s group The Xpendables said.
