African Queen crooner, 2Face Idibia on Tuesday May 1 secretly married his girlfriend, Annie Macaulay in Lagos.
The private ceremony which was attended only by close family members including the parents of the bride and groom consisted of a traditional introduction of both families at the Ajah, Lagos resident of the bride’s family.
The following day, 2face and Annie, in company of two of the bride’s brothers, and three friends of the groom and a very close friend of the bride, Maryann proceeded to ikoyi registry to sign the dotted lines.
The hush hush nature of the wedding is to forestall any intrusion or crisis that any of the groom’s other baby mamas might cause. There is however an elaborate plan later in the year for the most anticipated celebrity wedding of the year.
2face took the first step towards marriage when he proposed to Annie, the mother of his three-year-old daughter Isabella last Valentine’s day.
