Well, what a season!
Here was a season that will leave many breathless, thousands heartbroken and countless recounting the 2011-2012 as the best English Premier League Season ever, since its formation in 1992. We have witnessed some epic positional battles from the top to the bottom of the ladder and one of the most dramatic championship victories ever for Manchester City.

Manchester staged a dramatic come fightback to win the EPL tittle for the first time in 44 years on sunday, with Sergio Aguero scring the side's second goal in stoppage time to clinch a 3-2 victory over Queens Park Rangers. As the final whistle blew, thousands of City fans poured into the pitch and blue smokes wafted around the stadium. City's tittle comes after more than $1 billion of invesmentby Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Mansour, who took over the financial striken club from ousted Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra in September 2008.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur made the top 4 list while Bolton Wanderers, Blackburn Rovers and Wolverhampton Wanderers were relegated.

English football's appeal has always been predicated on a never-say-die spirit and, imports have raised standards and brought some wonderful talents to the league. Think of a relegation battle where Wigan Athletic and QPR survived principally because of their ability to defeat the top teams. Arsenal and Wigan both summed up their season in the space of 90 minutes. Each endured difficult starts, each rallied superbly. After going behind, each emerged victors. And thinking that the title was contested by two teams who were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League in the group stages says something, but this is a division of entertaining imperfections.

                                                     SPANISH LA LIGA

Real Madrid capped their dominant Spanish league campaign with a 4-1 win over Mallorca on Sunday to give the champions a record 100 points this season, while Villarreal and Sporting Gijon joined already relegated Racing Santander in being demoted to the second division.

Malaga, which had made a $90-million overhaul of their squad this season, saw their investment finally pay off when they beat Sporting Gijon 1-0 through Jose Rondon’s header to secure a fourth-place finish. They will join Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia in the Champions League for the first time ever.
Atletico finished in fifth place, falling just short of their goal of making the Champions League. Levante beat Athletic Bilbao 3-0 to qualify for the Europa League for the first time, putting an incredible end to their historic season that also saw them move top of the table for the first time ever to start the season.
Osasuna, Mallorca, and Sevilla all finished just outside the Europa League spots. Madrid padded their league record for goals scored in a season with 121, while Ronaldo added to his club records with his 46th league goal and 60th in all competitions this campaign. The Portugal forward’s total of 46 goals bettered his mark of 40 from last season, but fell short of Barcelona forward Lionel Messi’s league record 50 goals this season.
The Spanish powerhouse’s 32nd victory of the season gave them one more point than the 99 that Barcelona collected in 2010. “Real Madrid, as the best team in the history of football, has a wealth of titles, but this team will go down in history as the team of the 100 points,” coach Jose Mourinho told the packed stadium during Madrid celebration of its 32nd league crown.

                                                  GERMAN BUNDESLIGA

The 2011-12 Bundesliga season reached its conclusion a week ago after a thrilling season which culminated in Dortmund's second consecutive title. Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Schalke 04, Borussia Monchengladbach, made the top 4 list while Hertha Berlin, F C Cologne and Kaiserslautern were relegated.

Below are the analysis of displays of all 18 teams throughout the campaign to bring you the Best XI from the German top flight.
The goalkeeping standard in the Bundesliga is arguably the highest in Europe, and it is a cruel thing that only one shot-stopper can be honoured. Manuel Neuer had a remarkable run with Bayern as he came close to Bundesliga records for minutes without conceding and fewest goals let in during a season. Bernd Leno was a surprise package, and had a busier season than the Germany No. 1, saving Leverkusen's blushes time and time again. But the winner is Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who commanded Monchengladbach's defence in their surprising run to a fourth-place finish. He only recently turned 20 years of age, but the youngster showed the composure of a far more experienced player.

Due to the high volume of outstanding attackers in the Bundesliga, the rearguard consists of three players. Mats Hummels was a regular feature in Goal.com's Team of the Week, and for good reason: none of the Bundesliga's elite strikers - Mario Gomez, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Lukas Podolski, Raul, Claudio Pizarro, Marco Reus - managed to score against Dortmund. Alongside the BVB man is Holger Badstuber, who had his ups and downs but on the whole enjoyed an impressive season. Bayern's near defensive record is no fluke, and the 23-year-old was the best player from his team's back line, an ever-present source of stability in defence. The third and final centre-back is Dante, who despite having a mediocre finale deserves the spot. Gladbach's defence was the best in Europe for most of the season, thanks to the Brazilian and Ter Stegen, and their contribution was made all the more impressive when considering that their support in midfield was not exactly world class.

Defensive midfield is a difficult area to select from, given that many of the Bundesliga's top players in that position suffered long spells on the sidelines. Earlier in the campaign, Bastian Schweinsteiger appeared to be a shoe-in to make the Team of the Season. However, a pair of nasty knocks kept him out of 12 games. Instead, his team-mate, Toni Kroos gets the nod. The youngster was at his best in the Champions League, but domestically he still was the strongest regular performer, albeit in a variety of positions. Kroos made enormous strides in his career this season, and made his team-mates much better: his combination play with Franck Ribery, for instance, was scintillating.

The Team of the Season contain six players in attacking positions, and even that many are not enough to honour those who were deserving of mention. Marco Reus was arguably the best and most influential player in the Bundesliga, leading Monchengladbach to a fourth-place finish a year after the club narrowly avoided relegation. Alongside him is Ribery, who had the best season of his career and showed just what he is capable of when fit for a full campaign. The Frenchman was always a threat, not only in the Bundesliga, but also in the Champions League. The final attacking midfield position goes to Lukasz Piszczek, formally known as a right-back at Dortmund, but one who has played in an advanced role during his career and is essentially used as both an offensive and defensive player at BVB. The Poland international was not only effective overall, but also in critical moments when he was needed. He truly is the most under-rated full-back in Europe. There were four centre-forwards deserving of recognition, but unfortunately, room was available only for three. Mario Gomez had a brilliant season on the whole, but his contributions in the Champions League cannot count towards a Team of the Bundesliga Season nomination, and that cost him. He finished runner-up in the scoring charts, but his failure to produce against Dortmund was a decisive factor. Instead, top scorer Klaas-Jan Huntelaar makes the grade: at a strike rate of nearly one goal per game, he had his best season since he left Ajax in 2009. Supporting the attack is Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski, who was by far the most industrious striker in the league, and whose value goes far beyond his 22 goals and 10 assists. He scored in all the critical moments, and held up the ball exceptionally well to relieve his defenders. Finally, Lukas Podolski makes the cut as the third striker. He was unable to keep Koln out of the relegation zone, but what the Germany international did individually was sublime, especially given that he had almost no help whatsoever from his team-mates. Despite missing several games with an ankle injury, Podolski scored or assisted nearly 70 per cent of Koln's goals in the season.

                                                          ITALIAN SERIE A

The serie A ended with Juventus winning the league. Juventus ensured they finished their tittle winning campaign unbeaten. The Deserved championship, comes six years after Calciopoli, an event that had completely destroyed a society 'as a whole.
Antonio Conte managed to instill a game all grit and heart, the game magically directed by a surveyor of a true Pirlo midfield where Vidal and Marchisio joined technical and dynamism to a remarkable propensity to scoring. It 's also the shield of a defense game with many unknowns, where Chiellini and the surprising Barzagli were also determined the pins to the growth of a Bonucci often in difficulty. And 'the title of Buffon and Del Piero of Juventus and symbols from the ashes of Calciopoli and' resurrected in a clean, two samples that have agreed to share the fate of a society 'sunk in series B, when many of his players had preferred abandon the sinking ship. And 'the title of an attack never stable in the absence of a top player, Conte has turned a bit' all his tips available, in turn reaping positive things, including Borriello, decisive in the final races.
And 'the title of a stage innovative, beautiful and engaging, always full of excitement around the team, well away from those half-empty bleachers of Delle Alpi Stadium or Olympic. In the midst of such enthusiasm, will import just 'the mechanics to the good Juventus star has always assisted the season for Juventus, the importance of having available a rose without major injuries, the advantage of not playing a Champions which often dries up energies, a few episodes as a favor not granted Muntari's goal in the match against Milan. AC Milan, Udinese, and Lazio joins Juventus to be the top 4 teams, while Lecce, Novara and Cesene were relegated.
